WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue women's basketball team will close out the regular season with a bid to the Big Ten Tournament on the line when it hosts in-state foe Indiana on Sunday afternoon. The 2 p.m. tip will be televised on Peacock with Jenny Cavnar and Aja Ellison on the call.

The Boilermakers erupted to a 92-85 win over Penn State on Thursday night. Rashunda Jones and Sophie Swanson combined to score 61 points with 32 and 29, respectively. Lana McCarthy jumped back into double figures with 11 points and eight rebounds. Purdue connected on a season-high 10 3-pointers and dished out 20 assists in the win.

• Purdue leads the all-time series 55-43 with a 26-16 mark at Mackey Arena.
• The Boilermakers have the fourth hardest NET strength of schedule in the country behind South Carolina.
• Purdue's underclassmen have scored 66% of its points in Big Ten play, the highest percentage in the league this season.
• In a must-win game at Penn State on Thursday night, Purdue rolled off a 92-85 win, a season-high in points, with 61 combined points from Sophie Swanson and Rashunda Jones.
• Posting career highs, Jones (32 pts) and Swanson (29 pts) were the just the ninth duo in the last 21 seasons to score 29 points in a Big Ten game and the first since Ohio State's Taylor Mikesell and Rebeka Mikulasikova against Rutgers 2022-23.
• Rashunda Jones and Sophie Swanson were the second duo in Purdue history to score 29 points in a game since Katie Gearlds and Shereka Wright did it in Feb. 2004.
• They were the first Big Ten underclassman pairing to achieve the feat since Nebraska's Natalie Romeo and Jessica Shepard against Penn State in 2015-16.
• With her eight assists against Penn State, Jones became the 20th underclassman in Purdue history to dish out 100 or more assists. She is tied for eighth with 4.0 assists per Big Ten game.
• Jones is one of six players from the Big Ten averaging better than 11 points and 4.0 assists in league action.
• Swanson has really found her offensive stride over the last eight games, averaging 15.1 points on 41.6% shooting and 19 3-pointers on 34.5% from distance.
• Swanson moved into the team lead with 41 triples on the year. After hitting five threes on Thursday, Swanson has made multiple shots from the outside in each of the last six games.
McKenna Layden leads the team in Big Ten play with 5.4 rebounds per night, including a career-high 10 at Indiana. She sits second on the team with 23 3-pointers in conference.
Kendall Puryear has finished in double figures in seven of her last 10 appearances, going for 10.7 points on 58.6% shooting with 4.3 boards per night during that stretch.
• Puryear is one of seven Big Ten freshmen averaging over 8.5 points and 3.5 boards per game in league action.
• Purdue is one of 14 teams nationally and one of three from a major conference with two freshmen averaging better than 6.0 points and 3.5 rebounds per game in Puryear (7.5 PPG, 3.8 RPG) and fellow post Lana McCarthy (6.1 PPG, 4.8 RPG).
• The Boilermakers dished out 20 assists against the Lady Lions, their highest tally in Big Ten play since the regular season finale against Penn State last year. The Boilermakers are 21-1 when dishing out 20 or more assists in a game under Katie Gearlds.
• After knocking down 10 triples against Penn State, the Boilermakers have reached double-figure 3-pointers 16 times over the last four seasons. Prior to Katie Gearlds' return to West Lafayette, Purdue tallied just 22 double-digit triple games in the preceding 12 seasons.
