WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue's Jordan Rzepka and Daryn Wright both accounted for the top-scoring dive in five different rounds to team up for a sweep of the platform diving events in a Friday spotlight session on the eve of the full dual meet.

Rzepka earned 70-plus points on five of his six dives to win by 47 points with a list score of 467.25. Wright eclipsed the program record entering the season for the second time during her junior campaign, winning by 28 points with a five-dive list total of 374.18.

Freshmen Kaden Springfield (370.50) and Tyler Wills (360.45) finished third and fourth for the Boilermakers in the men's event. Sophie McAfee (297.30) was third for the Purdue women.

As seniors, Rzepka and McAfee competed from the tower at the Morgan J. Burke Aquatic Center for the final time. They'll be recognized alongside their classmates in Saturday morning's Senior Day ceremony at 9:30 a.m.

Rzepka posted his ninth event victory of the season, tops among the Purdue Divers and second on the men's team overall. Wright bested 2024 Big Ten champion Skyler Liu while posting her eighth event win of the season, tying backstroke standout Abby Marcukaitis for the lead among the women's team.

Rzepka was victorious on platform vs. IU for the second year in a row and Wright has now won the event at home vs. the Hoosiers twice in her career.

Wright had the top-scoring dive among the women in all five rounds, highlighted by an 84 on an inward 3 ½ in round 3. She scored at least 74 points in four of the five rounds, winning wire-to-wire in similar fashion as she did at the USA Diving Winter Nationals last month.

Similar to his silver medal-winning performance at Winter Nationals, Rzepka finished with a surge. His top-scoring dives came in the final two rounds – 91.2 on a forward 2 ½ three-twister in the final round and an 88.8 on a forward 4 ½ in round 5. He also won wire-to-wire.

Saturday the divers will again alternate rounds by gender while competing on 1-meter. The swimmers have 14 races on the schedule. Friday's platform results will count towards the team scores, carrying on the tradition of platform being a scored event at the annual IU-Purdue dual. Action begins at 10 a.m. Saturday.
