Boilermakers Finish Day One of Split Competition

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. and INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Cameron Miller earned the 200m victory at the Crossroads of America Invitational to headline Purdue Indoor Track & Field's opening day of split competition.
 
Men's Notes
• Miller ran 20.69 in 200m season debut for the victory. The time places Miller top five in the country. It was his third time running sub-20.70 with the Boilermakers.
Antoine Spencer took second in the 200m with an indoor personal best of 20.97. The performance comes one week after he ran a then-personal best 21.00 in Ann Arbor, Mich.
Douglas Buckeridge took fourth in the 3000m in 8:04.85 that places him fifth in program history.
Jasiah Rogers qualified for the 60m final after he finished third in the prelims (6.80).
Andreas Hantson is third in the heptathlon after the first four events. He took first in the high jump after he cleared 2.09m (6-10.25).
 
Women's Notes
Zoe Sullivan in the 60m hurdles (8.29) and Nia Wilson in the 60m (7.54) both finished third in the prelims to qualify for Saturday's finals.
Jalen Elrod set a personal best with 3,966 points in the pentathlon and moved up from No. 7 to No. 6 in program history. She finished third overall and her best events were third place finishes in the 60mH (8.59) and 800m (2:19.95).
Jila Vaden had a personal-best 5.96m (19-06.75) in the long jump that placed her 10th in program history.
