WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue women's basketball team will close out its five-game homestand to open the season with a 1 p.m. Sunday tip against UT Arlington. The Boilermakers will welcome Lady Mavs head coach and Leroy Keyes Purdue Hall of Fame inductee Shereka Wright back to Mackey Arena.

Powered by double-doubles from Reagan Bass and Lana McCarthy, the Boilermakers rallied from eight-points down in the third quarter to knock off Bellarmine 78-67 on Monday night. Bass led the way with 21 points, her second straight 20-point performance.

• Reagan Bass (21 pts, 11 rebs) and Lana McCarthy (12 pts, 10 rebs) mark the first time the Boilermakers had two players with a double-double in the same game since the 2020 Big Ten Tournament with Ae'Rianna Harris and Fatou Diagne.
• McCarthy's second double-double of the season already has her matched with Lindsay Wisdom-Hylton for the most double-doubles by a freshman since 2004-05.
• McCarthy is one of three freshmen from the Big Ten averaging over nine points and seven rebounds per game this season, joining Syla Swords from Michigan and Elsa Lemmila from Ohio State, while being one of 17 nationally.
• Sophie Swanson has knocked down six 3-pointers over her last two games at a 46.2% clip. The sophomore connected on 41 triples in 27 games last year to rank eighth on Purdue's freshman charts.
• The six active newcomers have made an instant impact this season, accounting for 71% of scoring, 70% of rebounding and 62% of assists. A newcomer leads Purdue in scoring (Bass - 15.5 PPG), rebounds (McCarthy - 7.5 RPG), assists (Lombard - 3.5), steals (Lombard - 3.3) and blocks (Bass - 1.3).
• The Boilermakers own a +12 rebounding margin average in their three wins this season (43.3-31.3). Bass and McCarthy have dominated the glass with 9.0 and 8.7 rebounds per victory. Purdue is 39-8 under head coach Katie Gearlds when winning the rebounding battle.
• Destini Lombard has been a pest on the defensive end for the Boilermakers, racking up 3.3 steals per game, which ranks second in the Big Ten behind USC's JuJu Watkins and 23rd in the nation. The Boilermakers are getting 17.5 points off turnovers this season.
• The Boilermakers rank sixth in the Big Ten in blocks per game with 4.8. Five different players have rejected multiple shots.
• Purdue will play nine games scheduled against teams in the preseason AP Top-25 rankings and is the only team in the nation that will face four teams in the top six of the preseason Top-25.
