SAUCIER, Miss. – The Purdue men's golf team wrapped up the fall season with an eighth-place showing at the Fallen Oak Invitational, held at Fallen Oak Golf Club in Saucier, Mississippi.
The Boilermakers finished the 54-hole event with a score of 17-over par 881 (295-291-295) to finish just one shot behind UTSA in seventh place.
Ole Miss won the event at 20-under par and was followed by Illinois and LSU in second place at 11-under par. Georgia, South Carolina and Mississippi State rounded out the top six.
Nels Surtani and Sam Easterbrook recorded top-20 finishes for the Boilermakers with Surtani shooting an even-par 216 (74-71-71) for a 13th-place showing. Easterbrook shot 1-over par 217 (72-71-74), good for T-17th.
Jenson Forrester finished tied for 45th at 8-over par 224 (76-73-75), while Supapon Amornchaichan was tied for 54th at 9-over par 225 (76-73-75). Kent Hsiao was tied for 57th at 10-over par 226 (75-76-75).
The event was the final competition of the fall season.
