Purdue Soccer Drops Road Result at Michigan, 2-0

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Stout defense was displayed for long stanzas of action by Purdue Women's Soccer on Sunday at U-M Soccer Stadium, but brief lapses proved to be the separator as host Michigan knocked in goals moments ahead of half time and full time to take the result, 2-0. The setback moved the Boilermakers' record to 7-8-2 (3-6-1 Big Ten), while the home team Wolverines advanced to 3-12-2 (2-7-1 Big Ten). 

Goalkeeper Claire Wyville, the fifth-year senior hailing from Morriston, Ontario, Canada, logged all 90 minutes of game play minding the net for head coach Richard Moodie's squad, securing two saves on eight shot attempts, only four of which were on goal. 

Sophomore defender Gabriela Angulo, from La Guaira, Vargas, Venezuela, put in work generating offense for the Old Gold & Black, firing off a team-high four shots.

The Boilermakers are back in action on Sunday, Oct. 27, at Michigan State for their final regular season match, a 1 p.m. meetup which can be seen on B1G+.
