WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue cross country team returns to action this Friday with the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational in South Bend.
The men and women Boilermakers will be racing in the Blue Division. The women's 5,000m race is slated for a 10:30 a.m. start, while the men will get going with the 8,000m race around 11:15 a.m.

The Boilermakers last competed in the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invitational back in 2022.
Last time out, the men's team finished fifth and the women placed sixth at the Big Ten Preview in Savoy, Ill. Nathan Walker paced the men in the 8,000m race with an 11th-place finish. Payne Turney posted a 13th-place finish on the women's side to lead Purdue.
Purdue will have two weeks off after this weekend before heading to Madison, Wis., for the Wisconsin Pre-Nationals on Oct. 19.
