LAKE FOREST, Ill. – The Purdue men's golf team finished 14th at the Windon Memorial Classic that concluded Monday at Conway Farms Golf Club in suburban Chicago.
The Boilermakers tallied a 54-hole total of 34-over par 886 (299-295-292), piecing together its best round of the tournament in the final round.
Purdue finished just five shots behind East Tennessee State (+29) in 11th place and was just behind Augusta (+32) and Indiana (+33).
Arizona won the event at 10-under par 842, while Marquette (-7) and Northwestern (+2) rounded out the top three.
Sam Easterbrook led the Boilermakers with a 25th-place finish at 5-over par 218 (74-74-70). Nels Surtani tied for 41st at 8-over par 221 (72-70-79).
Jenson Forrester finished tied for 52nd at 11-over par 224 (77-78-69). Kentaro Nanayama tied for 64th at 14-over par 227 (78-74-75). Supapon Amornchaichan was 77th at 18-over par 231 (76-77-78).
Purdue will compete in the Fighting Irish Classic at Warren GC in South Bend on Sunday and Monday.
