Glitz Announces 2023-24 Schedule

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Head coach Laura Glitz announced the upcoming 2023-24 Purdue Women's Tennis schedule ahead of her 17th year leading the program.

The Boilermakers are slated for 21 matches, with 10 being played at home in Schwartz Tennis Center. The season opens with a three-match homestand against Ball State, Miami Ohio and Xavier before Purdue heads to Ann Arbor for the ITA Kickoff weekend.

Purdue's first road test will be a matchup against an Arkansas team ranked No. 42 in last year's final ITA rankings on Jan. 26. The Boilers will then play either No. 51 Utah or  No. 6 Michigan the following day.

The Boilers will face 10 non-conference opponents, including five from the 2022 non-conference slate (Ball State, Xavier, Tulsa, Butler and Memphis). Purdue was 9-2 against non-Big Ten teams last season and went 5-0 against teams they will face for a second consecutive year.

The spring break trip will be a lone match at Charleston Southern on March 15. This dual will conclude non-conference play and is sandwiched in between two home matches against Minnesota and Penn State.

Big Ten play opens at Rutgers on March 1st as the first of 11 total conference matches. Purdue will play at home against five league opponents (Wisconsin, Minnesota, Penn State, Ohio State and Nebraska). Purdue went 6-5 in conference play last spring.

The Big Ten Tournament will be held in Ann Arbor from April 24-26.

The Boilers enter the season having finished No. 49 in the final ITA rankings while sporting a ranked player with Carmen Gallardo Guevara appearing at No. 113 in the first ITA rankings of the 2023-24 season.

Live stats and video will be available for all home matches at the Schwartz Tennis Center.
