Glitz Signs Ece Gencer to NLI

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue women's tennis head coach Laura Glitz announced the signing of ITF World Junior top-500 player Ece Gencer to a National Letter of Intent to play for the Boilermakers starting in the fall of 2024.

Gencer will arrive after a prep career that saw her reach a career-best 412 in the ITF World Junior Rankings. Gencer spent her first two years of high school at The Koc School in her hometown Istanbul, Turkey, before playing her junior and senior campaigns at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla.
"We are thrilled to welcome Ece to our family," Glitz said. "She has had a remarkable career in juniors and is the type of high-effort and high-quality individual we want on our team. We cannot wait for her to start with us next year."
