WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Head coach Geoff Young announced the upcoming 2023-24 schedule ahead of his second year at the helm of Purdue Men's Tennis.
The Boilermakers will play 22 total matches, 12 of which are at home. The longest homestand of the spring will be five matches from Feb. 10 to March 8 featuring Drake, Brown, DePaul, Cleveland State and Cornell.
The Boilers hit the road for the first time on Jan. 19 as they travel to Eugene to take on future conference opponent Oregon, with a dual against Portland the following day.
Purdue will see several familiar faces to start the spring as they take on seven of last year's 13 non-conference foes (Dayton, Western Michigan, Denver, Dartmouth, Drake, DePaul and Cleveland State). The Boilers will be battled tested as four non-conference opponents finished in the Top 75 of the final ITA Rankings (#37 Cornell, #48 Oregon, #60 Boise State and #73 Drake).
This year's spring break trip will feature a road matchup with Boise State on Friday, March 15, and will carry the team into its conference slate.
Big Ten play will feature nine dual matches beginning at Indiana on March 23. Six of Purdue's nine conference matches will feature teams that finished in the Top 65 of last year's ITA team rankings. The final five matches will be a gauntlet as the Boilers will play five of those six teams in a row.
The Boilermakers will close out the year in Evanston for the Big Ten Tournament on April 25.
Live stats and video will be available for all home matches at the Schwartz Tennis Center.
