Purdue Men’s Basketball Receives NABC Academic Awards

<br /><br />WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue men's basketball team has received recognition from the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) for academic achievement during the 2022-23 calendar year.

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue men's basketball team has received recognition from the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) for academic achievement during the 2022-23 calendar year.
 
As a team, Purdue was honored with an Academic Excellence Award after owning a 3.10 GPA during the 2022-23 academic season. Through the spring semester, the Boilermakers owned a cumulative 3.18 GPA with 10 players sporting GPAs of 3.0 or better.
 
The Boilermakers were one of five Big Ten teams to receive the NABC team award, joined by Northwestern, Rutgers, Nebraska and Minnesota. Purdue was the only conference champion from the power conferences to be recognized.
 
To be eligible for the team award, teams must have completed the 2022-23 academic year with a combined 3.0 GPA or better.
 
In addition, three individuals were named to the NABC Honors Court. To be selected to that team, players must be a junior, senior or graduate student and own a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or better.
 
Rising seniors Carson Barrett (organizational leadership; 3.22), Chase Martin (mechanical engineering; 3.53) and Ethan Morton (finance; 3.39) were all selected to the team.
