WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – The Purdue men's golf team faces a quick turnaround as it heads to Wisconsin for the second time this season for the Marquette Intercollegiate, held at the Milwaukee Country Club.
Action starts with 36 holes on Sunday and concludes with the final 18 holes on Monday. The teams will play a shotgun start on Sunday and then have tee times for Monday's final round. This marks the first time in the nine-year history of the event that the tournament will be played at the Milwaukee Country Club after being at Erin Hills the previous eight tournaments.
According to last year's final Golfstat rankings, eight of the 15 teams ended last year ranked in the top 100 with five being ranked in the top 50. Purdue has already faced five teams in the field this fall, owning a 4-1-0 record (lone loss to Wisconsin on its home course).

Seeing his first action of the fall, Herman Sekne tied for ninth at 2-over par 215, while Nick Dentino recorded his second straight top-20 finish with a 15th-place showing at 5-over par 218.

- Finished T-16th at the elite World Amateur Team Championship in early September, helping Norway to a fourth-place team finish. Moved from 143 to 124 in the WAGR official rankings.
- Nick Dentino / Senior / Carmel, Indiana
- Posted back-to-back top-20 finishes for the second time in his career and first time since his freshman year, when he finished T-15 at Inverness.
- Finished tied for 16th at the season-opening Badger Invitational, shooting 2-under par 142 (74-68).
- His 68 in the second round was his lowest tournament score since the Marquette Intercollegiate as a freshman.
- Three of his five rounds this fall have been even- or under-par.
- Nels Surtani / Junior / Indianapolis, Indiana
- Came up big in the third round at Inverness, firing a 3-under par 68, the second-lowest round of the day. Moved him up 32 spots to finish T-42.
- Recorded his third career top-20 finish (in five events) with a T-19 showing at the Badger Invitational (72-71=143).
- Nine of his 17 career rounds have been at even- or under-par.
- Had a strong summer, winning both the Golfweek Hoosier Amateur and Northern Amateur. Also placed 24th at the prestigious Monroe Invitational.
- Peyton Snoeberger / Senior / Williamsport, Indiana
- Strong performance at Inverness, finishing T-12 as an individual at 3-over par 216. It marked his third top-15 performance in his last four events (T-14 at Purdue Fall Invite; T-11 at Boilermaker Invite; T-53 at Badger Invite; T-12 at Inverness).
- Coming off an outstanding summer, where he qualified for the Round of 32 match play at the U.S. Amateur and was second at the Indiana Open.
- Placed in the top 15 at both the Purdue Fall Invitational and Boilermaker Invitational last season.
- Three of his seven rounds a year ago were even- or under-par.
- Andrew Farraye / Grad Student / St. Augustine, Florida
- Finished tied for 29th at the season-opening Badger Invitational, shooting even-par 144 (74-70).
- Since the start of last year, 12 of his 32 rounds have been even or under par.
- Owns a team-best nine career top-20 showings and is second with nine career rounds in the 60s.
- Qualified through local qualifying into final qualifying for the U.S. Open, and lost in a playoff to qualify for the U.S. Amateur.
- Had three top-30 finishes in official WAGR events this past summer.
- Luke Prall / Junior / Carmel, Indiana
- Bounced back from a tough opening round at the Badger Invitational, to shoot 2-under par 70 in the second round, for a total of 4-over par 148 (78-70).
- Won the Indiana Amateur in June, becoming the fifth Boilermaker in the last 13 years to win the event.
- Competed in the inaugural Battle at Birck, being teamed with quarterback Austin Burton.
THE COURSE
Built in 1929 by H.S. Colt and C.H. Alison, the course remains a classic course playing 7,097 yards and par-72 from the championship tees. A parkland course that meanders around the Milwaukee River, the greens are heavily bunkered, many have dramatic false fronts and accuracy is a must to score well here.
MARQUETTE INTERCOLLEGIATE HISTORY
Purdue heads to Milwaukee looking to improve on its third-place finish a year ago at Erin Hills. The Boilermakers have had success in the event, winning the tournament in 2019 and placing third a year ago. As a sophomore, Andrew Farraye finished tied for 10th in the event, while Herman Sekne placed 12th a year ago.
