WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Purdue men's golfers Cole Bradley, Herman Sekne and Joe Weiler have earned PING All-Midwest Region accolades announced over the weekend by the Golf Coaches Association of America.

The three honorees are tied with Illinois, Notre Dame and Michigan State for the most All-Region accolades in the Midwest Region.

Weiler, a Bloomington, Indiana native, earned all-region honors for the third time, joining Adam Schenk and Austin Eoff as the only players to earn at least three regional citations. Earlier this month, he became the fourth player in school history to be named first-team All-Big Ten twice and the first since 2007 (Pariya Junhasavasdikul, Lee Williamson and Lenny Hartlage).

Weiler finished his season with a 71.73 stroke average, the fifth-lowest mark in school history. He led the team with eight top-20 finishes and posted 16 rounds of even-par or better with eight rounds in the 60s. For his career, he finished fourth all-time in stroke average (73.05) and ninth in top-10 finishes (11).

Sekne, a sophomore from Oslo, Norway, has had one of the top-statistical seasons in Purdue history, ranking second (behind Williamson) in stroke average (71.17) and his nine rounds in the 60s were the fourth most in school history. He won back-to-back events at the Rich Harvest Farms Intercollegiate and Purdue Fall Invitational and was selected as the Big Ten Golfer of the Week four times – the second most honors in Big Ten history. Sekne had three tournaments this year of 205 or lower, the most in school history, and had five top-10 finishes in 10 events.

For his career, he ranks first in stroke average (72.25) by over half-a-stroke in front of Eoff (72.82). Sekne was a first-team All-Big Ten selection.

Bradley, a senior from West Lafayette, Indiana, earns his second straight regional honor after posting a 72.23 stroke average with 14 rounds of par or better and seven rounds in the 60s. Bradley finished his career with a 73.21 stroke average, good for fifth in school history and he won the 2021 NCAA Noblesville Regional, eventually placing 39th at the NCAA Championships and earning honorable mention All-America honors.
