WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The No. 18 Purdue wrestling team hosts its final home dual of the 2021-22 season Sunday, set to face No. 16 Minnesota in Holloway Gymnasium at 1 p.m. ET. The Boilermakers enter the dual at 9-4 overall and 3-3 in conference, while the Golden Gophers enter the weekend at 3-4 overall (2-3 B1G), and travel to Illinois on Friday before coming to West Lafayette.

Head coach Tony Ersland and Purdue wrestling will honor their seven graduates at the conclusion of Sunday's dual. The Boilermakers will honor Nate Cummings, Max Lyon, Devin Schroder, Ethan Smiley, Emil Soehnlen, Alec White and Michael Woulfe. These young men have combined for an All-America honor, seven NCAA Championship qualifications, back-to-back top-six performances at the Big Ten Championships, six Big Ten placewinning performances, 227 career victories and 466 takedowns. They have combined for 11 Academic All-Big Ten awards, three NWCA Scholar All-America honors and a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar award as well.
PURDUE LINEUP & RANKINGS
Purdue came in at No. 18 in this week's NWCA Coaches Poll, with seven individuals ranked in the various polls. Junior Kendall Coleman and senior Devin Schroder maintain their top-15 recognition, nationally, while senior Parker Filius, junior Thomas Penola, sophomore Gerrit NIjenhuis and freshman Matt Ramos all own marks inside the top-25 at their respective weights.

Purdue continued its in-state win streak Saturday, earning a 17-16 victory at rival Indiana. The win is the 12th in a row for the Boilermakers in the series, dating to 2010, despite a pair of upset wins for the Hoosiers and the absence of Kendall Coleman in the starting lineup. The decisive bonus points came from Devin Schroder and Parker Filius, who earned major decisions at 125 and 141 pounds, respectfully. Cooper Noehre and Hayden Lohrey earned decision wins at 157 and 165 pounds, while Thomas Penola won his third straight at 197, coming up shy of the major decision in a 10-4 victory.
