WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - The Purdue men's tennis team will begin its stretch of B1G matches with two road tests, first at No. 31 Minnesota Friday and at Wisconsin Sunday. Action from the Baseline Tennis Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota, will begin at 7:30 p.m. ET with live scoring available. First serves from the Nielsen Tennis Stadium in Madison, Wisconsin, are scheduled for 1 p.m. Live scoring will not be available, but updates will be provided here.

The Boilermakers (4-10, 0-3 B1G) are coming off of the BNP Paribas Collegiate Challenge presented by Oracle in Indian Wells, California. While playing at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden, they went up against three nationally ranked opponents in No. 1 Oklahoma, then-No. 28 California and No. 75 UC Irvine.

Although Purdue fell in all three matches, its top doubles team of Diego Acosta and Ricky Medinilla upset California's then-No. 31 pair of Gregory Bayane and Chase Melton, 6-2. It was the senior/sophomore duo's first win over a ranked opponent this season and their sixth side-by-side this spring.

The Boilermakers are looking to continue their recent success against Minnesota and Wisconsin after defeating both teams last year by a combined score of 13-1. They dominated in both matches, beating the Gophers 6-1 for their first win in the series since 2007, and blanked the Badgers for the second time in as many meetings.

Minnesota posts a 12-5 overall record and is 3-0 in B1G action. Two Gopher singles players are ranked with No. 25 Leandro Toledo and No. 104 Matic Spec. They also have a pair of top-100 tandems in 49th-ranked Mathieu Froment and Jack Hamburg and No. 76 Leandro Toledo and Feliz Corwin.

Wisconsin (4-11, 1-2 B1G) will host No. 39 Indiana and SIU Edwardsville on Friday prior to the Old Gold & Black's arrival in Madison. Jose Carranza and Josef Dodridge are the only listed Badgers, checking in at No. 39 on the doubles rankings.
